Focus are a relatively new brand to the UK and many of you will not have heard of them, but that’s changing as mail-order specialists Wiggle.co.uk are importing them, and have been for most of 2006, but they’re aiming high for 2007 with revised models and very attractive prices.

Focus bikes already garner a lot of praise in Germany and around the continent, with their frames being made in their Hamburg factory and attention to detail, ride quality and value being high on the list of priorities. With Wiggle.co.uk importing them direct bikes direct from Focus, they pass on the saving to the customer, which explains how they can offer a carbon frame and decent spec – with Ultegra highlights – for £999. A bargain, it seems.
We’ve been waiting a while to get our hands on one to find out if they ride as good as the price tag is appealing to our wallets, and now one has arrived in the office, we’ll soon find out. For now, here’s a snippet of the bike and specs, and watch out for the full RCUK verdict soon.
