Italian up market component manufacturer Fulcrum has unveiled details of a 2009 product range that will include a new RRS version of the Racing Torq crankset, which sits at the top of the Fulcrum crankset range. The Racing Torq crankset, introduced in 2007, is built around Campagnolo’s Ultra-Torque bottom bracket axle and bearing system, which itself is designed to optimise power transferthe cyclist’s power, ease of assembly and the ergonomics designed for maintaining an optimal space between the ankle and crank. To the Racing Torq model’s multi- and uni-directional carbon fibre hollow cranks, RRS adds ceramic bearings and a new anodization technique for the chainrings, which considerably increases resistance to wear.
