Jan rides one so we had to too. This is the long awaited RCUK TT bike…

It’s taken a while to get this baby together and the list of suppliers is a long one; wheels from Zipp, brakes from Cane Creek, Bottom bracket from Royce, Pedals from Speedplay… but at long last we finally finished building the RCUK speed machine.

The build-up takes a while because this bike needed to match up perfectly with a previous TT position. The adjustability is incredible especially the seat cradle that can be moved to alter the effective frame angle. The Nokon cable set (supplied with the farme) also takes a while to install… we’ll no doubt be changing stuff around a little, watch this space.

So last night it got it’s first outing at the Hounslow CC 10. Safe to say that it had a crowd of admirers at the start.

But is it any good? Yep. It flies, a full report will follow.
