Long sleeves and autumn leaves from Sugoi

Sugoi

Canadian company Sugoi have gained a reputation for producing quality cycling clothes for both men and women. This Flite long-sleeved jersey, made in Canada, is suitable for all types of biking and designed specifically for women. The combination of a long zip and Sugoi’s lightweight ‘Convector fabric allows air to circulate for warmth and comfort and provides effective moisture and temperature control. The fabric allows the skin to breathe by taking moisture away from the skin.

The jersey has a delicate autumnal print design giving it a feminine feel. This new version of the jersey has a longer body and an elastic hem at the base and around the sleeves for extra comfort.

North face

North Face Women’s L/S Clarque ¼ zip jersey

Being a North Face garment we expect to see stylish designs and a good fit, but does the Clarque fill the other criteria of a base layer? Most importantly fast wicking properties, quick drying fabric, lightweight and suitable for high aerobic activities in a range of temperatures and conditions.

The Polartec® Powder Dry® fabric stood up well to under waterproof jacket wear on the bike, even on warmer wet days when sweating was excessive. Its stretchy nature and multi-panel design allowed for a close and easy fit and the ¼ zipper with medium high collar gave good versatile ventilation.

As we expected the quality of construction is high and reliable, nice little touches like the thumb holes show that plenty of thought has gone into the design too.

We proved the Women’s Clarque’s versatility by testing it as a baselayer and as a lightweight 2nd layer where it provided a reliably dry and comfortable fit whatever sport we fancied that day.

  • Endura

    Endura MT500 Shorts

Endura’s MT500 range has a strong reputation for durability and these women specific fit MTB shorts are certainly no exception.

These are an incredibly hard wearing design with double side panelling to protect the skin. They offer a comfortable fit and do give you added confidence in the event of a crash. High stretch CoolMax/Lycra is used in the side panel liners to help to reduce grazing if you do come off and brambles etc fail to leave a mark on the material if you do catch your clothing when your out on those trails.
