Lance Armstrong’s bike up for sale

Following Lance Armstrong’s successful re-entry into the professional peloton in the Tour Down Under, Trek Bicycles Australia is offering up an Astana team issue Trek Madone 6.9 autographed by the 7-time Tour de France winner.

The bike is currently on display in Adelaide, Australia, and is being auctioned through ebay with bids ending on 31st January 09 at 16:36:18 AEDST. All the funds raised from the bicycle’s sale will be donated to Livestrong, the foundation Armstrong setup and the reason he has quoted for his return to racing.

The bike in question is a 56cm Madone 6.9 in Astana team colours and is built with a SRAM RED groupset, Bontrager Aeolus 5.0 carbon wheels and Bontrager finishing kit. Armstrong’s signature features on the top tube of the frame.
