Made available in a limited edition of just 200 individually-numbered pieces, the Montante for Maserati 8CTF has been designed to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Wilbur Shaw’s 1940 victory, his second in succession, in the Indianapolis 500-Mile race behind the wheel of a Maserati 8CTF.
Developed and produced by Montante Cicli in Italy, the Maserati 8CTF is embellished with unique and distinctive detailing: a silver trident on a grey background on the hubs is inspired by the Maserati’s supercharged three-litre engine, the Maserati logo in on the frame reprises the metallic plate identifying the car’s chassis and the enamelled oval badge is a faithful reproduction of the one on the car’s bonnet. Last but not least, the number is the one featured on Shaw’s car with which he won, twice in a row, the USA’s most famous race.
The limited edition Montante for 8CTF Maserati bike is custom-made to order and is available through the online Maserati Store at a price of £3,204 plus shipping.
