Lezyne’s range of rear lights now boasts two new Strip lights, including the Strip Drive Pro Rear, which, with a maximum output of 100 lumens, is one of the most powerful rear lights around.
The red-cased light is powered by five LEDS and is extremely powerful for a taillight, with the 100-lumen Day Flash mode one of nine available settings. It’s also available with a black body, weighs 69g without its strap mount, and costs £39.99.
If 100 lumens seems excessive, the regular Strip Drive Rear will cost you ten pounds less at £29.99 and features the same nine lighting modes – the only difference is the maximum output is 25 lumens instead. Both lights are designed to sit flush with the seatpost and are compatible with aero and regular round posts – a real boon for riders whose bike has an aero-profiled seatpost and who struggle wrap a light around it.
Otherwise, the rest of Lezyne’s rear light range remains unchanged, with the Zecto, KTV, Femto and Micro Drive all available as alternative options to the Strip Drive and Strip Drive Pro.
Finally, while all of Lezyne’s lights are available individually, it’s also well worth mentioning that the UK distributor, Upgrade Bikes, has put together a range of front/rear combinations, including Macro Drive XL and Strip Drive Pro Rear double which looks a pretty mean package for commuting cyclists or those who plan to train hard through winter.
You can see all the front/rear sets available on the Upgrade website, or check out the Lezyne website for the complete 2016 light range.
