Hybrid
Lezyne’s Hybrid range includes two lights which can be used for either front of rear illumination.
The Macro Duo (£69.99) is a high-powered option with a front output of 400 lumens and rear output of five lumens. It’s to be used as a helmet light, while the CNC-machine aluminium body is designed to improve side illumination, with windows cut into the front and 360 visibility at the back.
The front has five modes with run times ranging from 90 minutes to ten hours, while the rear has three modes; one steady and two flashing.
While the Macro Duo is designed to offer front and rear illumination at the same time, the £39.99 Zecto Drive Pro (which shares the same circular, low-profile body as the regular Zecto front light) can be used for either front of rear lighting, with the unit incorporating two white LEDs and one red LEDs. The idea is that you choose whether you need to use the light on the front or back of your bike.
If it’s mounted the front, the Zecto Drive Pro has six modes, providing up to 160 lumens and with claimed run times anywhere from two hours to five hours, while if you strap the light to the back of your bike then it will put out between ten and 40 lumens from five modes.
Finally, let’s take a closer look at Lezyne’s range of rear lights…
