This super-light, high-viz gilet comes with the Brevet Jersey.
It’s made from a featherweight polyester fabric, with open mesh panels under the arms, and at the top of the back, to improve ventilation.

The gilet comfortably packs down to about the size of a tennis ball, and can be easily folded and stowed in on of the Brevet Jersey’s rear pockets.
Again, visibility is key to the gilet – the high-viz colour is a giveaway but the horizontal stripes are also said to be reflective.
It’s a super-light piece but Rapha say it’s made from a windproof material so should offer an additional layer of protection against a chilly breeze, particularly when paired with the Brevet Jersey, which isn’t windproof.

Otherwise, the gilet has a dropped tail, designed to keep the rider’s rear end covered when riding, and there’s also a full-length, offset zip, designed, Rapha say, to make the gilet more comfortable when used as part of a layering system (which would otherwise mean having at least two bulky zips sitting on top of each other).
Our sample is in high-viz yellow and is paired with the corresponding grey Brevet Jersey, but there’s also an equally bright pink version which comes with the blue jersey.
