Reader's Bikes: James' Ridley

Are you proud of your trusty bicycle? Has it stuck with you through the good times and the bad? Or maybe you have a brand spanking new machine which you think outshines the rest. Old or new, steel or carbon and whatever your story we want you to tell us why your bike is a bit special. And we want to see the evidence. So, send a couple of photos and some words in to [email protected] and we’ll consider featuring you and your bike in the brand new ‘Reader’s Bikes’ section.

Want to see yourself on this page next week? If the answer’s yes, then we want to hear from you.

Over to James and his Ridley…

I guess most of you know, I ride a Ridley Boreas. It’s not the pimpest bike on here but I love it to bits. It’s comfy, beautiful, light(ish) and it’s all my own spec. It has my name on the downtube to prevent it being thieved too.

It’s all 105 with Xero XCR ones, a pazazz carbon stem and post, ITM flat topped carbon bars, a Spesh Toupe saddle (I wouldnt spend that much on a saddle but Danny Axford gave it to me), Look Keo sprints and Vittoria Rubino pros.

I have a sleeve on the post to make it fit the frame and to aid in absorbing road buzz.

Got a Polar s625 but haven’t put the kit on the bike yet…
