Reynolds Cycling components, with their newly appointed exclusive aftermarket distributor Upgrade (importers of Oval, Kinesis and Vittoria) have some hot new products in store for 2007.
Reynolds is of course well known for their forks, and the Ouzo Pro is a popular choice with manufacturers and is a firm RCUK favourite. The Reynolds engineers have been tinkering away though and have managed to improve on an already very good fork, with a sub-300g UL (Ultralight) fork.
The company is also turning it’s hand to wheels, with two new wheelsets. Starting with the Attack wheelset, you get an all-carbon clincher setup with 32mm deep section rims. They’re laced to DT hubs via 20 front and 24 rear spokes, weighing 1,487g. If they’re priced right, they could make a very competitive set of hoops.
Even lighter though is the 1,207g DVUL46 wheelset, already being put through their paces by some pros. DT Aerolite hubs are radially laced with 16 front and 20 rear spokes. They promise to be a stiff setup despite not weighing a whole deal, hopefully we’ll get to take some for a spin and let you know.
