RH+ Distance Bib Tight – £130
The Distance Bib Tight sits second-from-top in the RH+ range, beneath the windproofed Fusion Wind Out (£145) and above the Sprinter £85) and Shuffle (£105) tights.
The bib straps are perhaps the most interesting feature, made from a wide elastic – rather than the mesh preferred by many brands – which we expect to offer plenty of support. How that affects breathability is to be seen.
The fleece-lined tights are made from an 85 per cent nylon, 15 per cent spandex mix. It’s RH+’s ‘Icedry Gold 200’ fabric, designed, they say, for mild to cold weather conditions. The upscale Fusion Wind Out tight has windproof panels and is intended for the coldest rides.
Each leg is finished with a zipper (with reflective detail) and a deep, silicone-lined elastic gripper, so there shouldn’t be any problems with the tights shifting around on the pedal stroke. The Elastic Interface pad is made by respected chamois manufacturers Cytech and has a multi-density construction which varies from 3mm to 10mm in thickness.
The tights come in two colours – the black option pictured, as well as black/white/red – and four sizes from medium to extra-extra-large for £130.
