Specialized’s S-Works Tarmac proved to be a hugely-successful bike in 2014, with the winners of the Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana and World Championship all piloting one to victory.
But it doesn’t even sit at the top of the Specialized range. That position is reserved for this McLaren edition of the same bike, which broke cover at the Tour de France.
Nicolas Roche piloted this machine, which is said to weigh ten per cent less than the ‘standard’ S-Works Tarmac, at the Tour and it’s available for a cool £16,000. Only 250 will be made.
