Mark Cavendish is said to be among the users of Rapha’s Essentials Case, which provides compact but robust storage for valuables when out riding.

The leather case is designed to fit comfortably into a jersey pocket and is zipped on two sides for easy access. The case isn’t billed as waterproof but the bound seams are designed to keep the contents as dry as possible.

An internal sleeve offers space for a credit card, while the main compartment can carry an inner tube, tyre levers, CO2 cyclinder and an average-sized multi-tool or mobile phone (so not the iPhone 6+).
