dhb Extreme Weather Neoprene Overshoes (£29.99)
From Wiggle’s house brand, the dhb Extreme Weather Neoprene Overshoes are designed to withstand, funnily enough, extreme weather.
While something lighter may be better before the ravages of winter arrive, once you feel the need for something warmer these represent a well-priced and effective barrier against wet and windy conditions.
dhb Extreme Weather Neoprene Overshoes – review
Like Shimano’s S3000R overshoes, they’re made from neoprene (3.5mm thick in this instance), which helps keep your feet warm when wet, while the TUP skin helps stop water getting in unless it’s really chucking it down and also offers a good level of windproofing.
A Kevlar-reinforced sole, heel and toe boosts durability when walking off the bike or stopping and placing a foot down. Out back there’s a simple but relatively sturdy zip and a good amount of reflective detail. That’s about it, and dhb’s overshoes are a no-frills option, but they’re robust and do the job well.
