Vulpine have unveil their 2014 autumn/winter range, which includes the launch of several new lines of casual cycle clothing, alongside the return of many of the British brand’s old favourites.
Having already visited Napoli and Andalucia in 2014, a six-strong group of Vulpine riders headed to Bergen, Norway, to shoot the new collection’s lookbook – you can see the results in the gallery below or on the Vulpine website.
Highlights of the range include the launch of the Jinzu Raw Selvedge Cycling Jeans (£179), the Ultralight Thermal Quilted Jacket (£169) and Gilet (£119), Polka Cotton Caps (£15) and Dogtooth Merino Silk Socks (£25).
New additions
Vulpine say the Jinzu Raw Selvedge Cycling Jeans, made from a 12oz raw selvedge (unwashed) denim sourced from Japan, are designed to be simple and tough. The jeans have a diamond gusset, so the rider is not sat on any seams, and they have a cycling-specific cut – high at the back and long in the leg.
Meanwhile, the Ultralight Thermal Quilted Jacket and Gilet are filled with Primaloft Gold, which is said to be warm, lightweight and breathable, while the outer layer of both the jacket and gilet is made from a water resistant fabric which Vulpine say is also quick-drying should you get caught in heavy, persistent rain.
The Polka Dot Cap is a classic cotton cap which Vulpine claim to have made “stronger, more comfortable, more detailed and more stylish, with fine polka dot detailing”, while the Dogtooth Merino Silk Socks are made, as the name suggests, from a merino/silk blend which is said to retain heat while also drawing moisture away from the skin.
Old favourites
Vulpine’s core lines return also return for the forthcoming season, including the Original Rain Jacket (£199), the Cotton Rain Trousers (£139) and the Cotton Rain Shorts (£115), while the Harrington Rain Jacket (£195) is available in new colours.
Meanwhile, Vulpine’s merino long sleeve range covers the Alpine Jersey (£99), Merino Polo (£89) and Merino Tee (£69), and the fleece-lined Thermal Storm Cap returns (£35), alongside the original wet weather Storm Cap (£25).
