You don’t have to set yourself ridiculous goals or to take it too seriously, or even to become scientific, but if you write something down then apparently you’re nine times more likely to do it.
All it has to be is to write down your training plan for the week ahead.
It might say, ‘Monday I’m doing to do an hour’s road ride with hills, Tuesday is going to be a turbo session with short intervals and Friday is going to be track league’.
Write it down, put it in your diary and you’re more likely to commit to it and do it.
