Bell have unveiled the Gage helmet which, at 233g, is the manufacturer’s lightest lid yet.
The Gage is “race-bred”, according to Bell, with 26 vents to help you keep a cool head in the heat of battle, while the helmet also utilises a number of Bell technologies, including the TAG Fit System and X-Static Padding.
The helmet itself is based around a Fusion In-Mould microshell, with lightweight Internal Reinforcement helping to keep the weight down. It’s not the lightest helmet out there, however, with the Limar Ultralight – “the world’s lightest helmet” – hitting the scales at a mere 170g.
The Gage will be available in a range of colours, including a limited edition model in the colours of Cadel Evans’ BMC Racing team.
Expect the Gage to be available in the summer for £159.99, while we’ll be taking a closer look at the helmet at Madison’s iceBike trade show later this week.
