Cervelo leak P5 spy shots (+ video)

Cervelo have leaked a series of spy shots ahead of the official launch of the P5 time trial frame.

Full details have been kept under wraps until the launch on Wednesday but we’re led to believe two frame options will be offered; one for triathlons and one for time trials, in order to conform to the UCI’s stricter regulations.

The obvious difference between the two will be at the headtube in order to conform to the UCI’s 3:1 tube restrictions. The P4’s integrated bottle cages, which fell foul of UCI regulations, have been replaced by regular bosses.

The bike looks to be furnished with brakes from Magura, labelled RT8TT, which ties into the appearance of the hydraulic specialist’s logo on Garmin-Barracuda’s 2012 kit. All cables are internally routed, with Shimano’s Dura-Ace Di2 groupset providing electronic shifting, although Campagnolo’s new EPS groupset may also be compatible.

We’ll bring you more following Wednesday’s launch.
