Cyclist starts Newcastle to London ride – on a Boris bike

Tarek Nsier rolled out of Newcastle at 6:15am

One hardy cyclist is riding from Newcastle to London in five days – on a Boris bike.

Tarek Nsier, CEO of digital agency TH_NK, is leading 12 other cyclists, all on regular bikes, for 450 miles on one of the capital’s iconic three-geared machines.

The Tour de TH_NK, between the company’s two offices, hopes to raise £20,000 for the Breast Cancer Campaign and left Newcastle at 6:15am today and will cover 90 miles a day before arriving in London.

“When our MD, Lynne Davidson, suggested this we thought it was a great idea and signed up,” said Nsier.

“Now that it’s getting close we are starting to question our sanity. We’re keeping going due to a mix of competitiveness and the knowledge it’s all for a good cause.”
