Bealach-na-Ba or Bealach nam Bo (Pass of the Cattle) is the UKs biggest road
climb at 2053ft (626m) from sea level in just 6mls (10k). It is set in a
fabulous unspoilt landscape with outstanding views of the sea and the hills.
The Applecross Peninsula is renowned as a gem in Scotland’s crown of natural
wonders.
Naturally, to make it even better we’ve added another 84mls (133k) over
quiet Highland roads, some of which will be closed to traffic, with a
further 7,600ft (2,300m) of ascent thrown in for free!
That’s a total of 90 miles (143k) and 9,630ft (2935m) of ascent.
This is certain to become one of the UK’s classic sportif events. Be there
at the beginning. It is sure to be popular so get your entry in soon before
they all go!
