The CycleOps Power Road Sportive will touch down in Selkirk, Scotland, on July 23 for the final event in the three-part series.
After previous rounds in Llandovery, Wales, and Marshbrook, England, the series heads north of the border to plot 47 and 97-mile routes through the Scottish Borders.
The ‘Standard sportive’ hits riders with 1,600m of climbing, while the ‘Classic sportive’ packs in 2,700m of ascent.
“None of the hill climbs are Alpine in scale but only one is less than 100m vertical and if you check the course profiles, there isn’t a flat road in between, so the ascent total soon builds up,” the organisers told us.
Both routes will be signposted, and expect fully-stocked feed stations, as well as well-deserved tea and cakes at the finish. Camping is available from Friday through to Monday, while photos from www.rightplacerighttime.co.uk will be available to view and purchase a few days the event.
The Selkirk round is once again another double event, with the sportive taking place on the Saturday, followed by the Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon 24 hours later.
Sportive entry costs £27, or if you fancy an epic weekend, you can enter both events for a reduced price of £47.
