Cyclosure are offering cycling-specific insurance for riders heading overseas for either leg of this year’s Etape du Tour.
According to Cyclosure, standard travel insurance policies provided by airlines or mainstream providers are often not sufficient for participating in organised cycling events abroad.
Cyclosure have developed a policy that covers both participation in organised cyclosportives and amateur racing overseas which can be purchased as a single European trip (from £13.86), single worldwide trip and annual worldwide (from £72.60).
Two Etapes du Tour will run this summer, Acte I, from Modane to Alpe d’Huez, on Monday July 11 and Acte II, from Issoire to Saint Flour, on Sunday July 17.
And Cyclosure has teamed up with Rapha Condor Sharp pro Dean Downing, who will be riding Acte II and is on hand via Cyclosure’s Twitter and Facebook to answer any questions about Etape training or preparation.
“The Etape is a huge event and riders from the UK should make sure they’re fully prepared in all senses,” said Downing.
“I’m online to answer questions with Cyclosure to help people prepare for the Etapes and to answer any other cycling questions they have.”
While Cyclosure’s policies cover cycling events abroad, they’re also available to use year-round on non-cycling trips. Get a quote at www.cyclosure.co.uk
