Thanks to Bikebiz for the tip-off here. There’s a free Tour ticker available to Mac with OSX users.

The free self-extracting file uses data from Le Tour site and is available from this page.

The Ticker pulls new copy off the Tour site as it uploaded and it then runs across your desktop, so there’s no need to go back to the Tour site to keep refreshing. It’s all a bit delicate though, the Tour site could easily change the code on its site so that the ticker would no longer work.

Obviously there won’t be any news until after the Tour’s third stage starts today at 12.15 local time when riders will be leaving behind Belgium and entering Fance for the first time.

Anyway, it’s there now for you OSX users. That said we want to download it but our OSX desktop isn’t talking to us at the moment, so it’s not all smug, smug, smug.
