All-women team Bottecchia/Fat Birds Don’t Fly is looking to recruit new riders. Following on from a solid performance by the team both nationally and internationally, the team sponsors, Bottecchia and Norfolk-based
cycle shop Fat Birds Don’t Fly, are demonstrating their ongoing commitment to the team by expanded their support to accommodate up to three more riders. Team manager Steph Wyman said that the idea was to “build on the successes of the 2004 season.”
The new riders will benefit from riding alongside existing team riders Helen Saunders, Gabby Day and Susy Massey, and sharing in their accumulated experience. They’ll also have access to equipment, support and training from the Fat Birds Don’t Fly shop, that rare jewel of a women’s specialist cycle shop.
If you’d like to find out more about the team and the opportunity to ride for it, then contact Elaine or Richard Bird at Fat Birds Don’t Fly on 0845 4585875 or visit their website at www.fatbirds.co.uk. Alternatively, if you’d just like advice on any aspect of women’s cycling just give them a bell and they’ll help if they can.
