We’ve just learned from the bbc that one of two samples given by Floyd Landis (following his dramatic win on stage 17) has unusually high levels of Testosterone.

It’ll be a nerve wracking few days as Landis and the Phonak team wait for his second sample to be tested, and verify whether in fact he resorted to performancing enhancing drugs. Watch this space for more news on this situation.

We certainly hope that this is a mistake in the testing procedure and Landis in fact is revealed to have been riding clean. It’ll be a black day for the sport if he definitely was riding under the influence of performance enhancing drugs.
