The Wiggle Super Series Wight Ferry Sportive on Saturday July 7 has sold out – but limited entries are still available for the Sunday event on July 8.
The Wight Ferry Sportive follows a unique format, starting from Brockenhurst, in the heart of the New Forest, with a largely flat opening section before riders board a ferry for a lap of the Isle of Wight, then setting sail again for a finishing stretch back on the mainland.
Two routes are on offer – 65 and 95 miles – with both courses heading across The Solent, passing over the Isle of Wight’s central downs before returning via the southern coastal roads.
The event is timed, with the stop clocked while you wait for the ferry and on the two crossings, while there will be mechanical support on the marked route, as well as feed stations and bike wash facilities, plus a finishers’ medal, goody bag and waiting for all riders at the end.
Entry costs £36 for the 65-mile route and £38 for the 95-mile course. Enter online at www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk
