This September, Macmillan Cancer Support is challenging you to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, and conquer the mighty mountains of the Pyrenees by taking part in the charity’s Pyrenean Raid cycle.
This brand new Macmillan challenge covers two exhilarating days of challenging climbs, thrilling descents and breathtaking scenery, and will take you through the stunning Cols of the Pyrenees as you pedal towards your ultimate goal: the iconic Col du Tourmalet.
Following the route of the 2010 Etape du Tour, this ride will challenge the best of cyclists out there. You will be supported every step of the way by a specially-designed training guide and will be rewarded by an incredible sense of achievement as you triumph over the same terrain as sporting giants like Lance Armstrong and Eddy Merckx.
Full event support is provided for you, including drink and food stops, lunches, bike mechanics, medical staff, accommodation and travel – all you have to do is turn up and cycle.
There are over two million people living with cancer in the UK. Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support and pushing for better cancer care.
