recycling.co.uk / MG XPower / Litespeed stamped their mark on the 9th round of British Cycling’s National Circuit Race Series dominating the Clitheroe Grand Prix last night in which National Road Champion Russ Downing won ahead of teammates Chris Newton and Rob Hayles who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Having just returned from a training camp in Belgium with Brother Dean, where he took an impressive 2nd place in the Bambrugge Kermesse, Fonzy set about Recycling’s domination of the night’s racing attacking early on to gain a solid lead on the tough 1km circuit.

Teammates Newton and Hayles marked a move by DFL’s Ben Hallam before dropping the rider and closing the gap on their team captain. The trio marched ahead, working in unison to ensure that the peloton never saw them again.

With the Tour of Britain weeks away, the team are steadily building up to Britain’s premier race and are currently embarking on a training camp in Lancashire before tackling their last major objective before the big race, the Havant International Grand Prix on the 14th of August, the penultimate round of British Cycling’s Premier Calendar Series.
