Reliability trial season starts
Towards the end of this month the reliability trials begin. These are a break from the usual club run style ride and are a little more competitive. You basically get a certificate/pat on the back/nod from the organiser for completing the distance in a target time. Club/Area: Leicestershire Road Club – NOTE – new date!!
Once again the Leicestershire Road Club Reliability Trial is being run in
the quiet but hilly lanes of East Leicestershire.
Start and HQ is Leicestershire RC Clubroom, Outdoor Pursuits Centre, Redhill
Island, Birstall, Leicester, where refreshments and free parking are
available.
Choice of two rides, both with an optional cafe stop: –
65 miles in 5hrs 30 mins. Start at 09.30
Or shorter version, 50 miles in 4hrs 30 mins. Start at 10.00.
Both cost only £2 and entries taken on the line.
As the longer route is the same as the short one, but with an extra loop,
riders may cut out the extra loop if they are unsure about doing the longer
one.
Certificates are awarded to all successful riders.

Distance/Route: 55miles. This hilly route will take in Lyonshall, Kington, Painscastle, Hay, Peterchrch & then returning to Climb On Bikes in Hereford.

Groups: Slower riders start at 0900hrs and fitter riders starting at 0920hrs

Distances: 120kms
The route: From Denham heads out towards Little Chalfont then on to Chesham, Cholesbury, Great Missendon, Princes Risborough, Thame and Stokenchurch. On the way back it climbs Winter Hill near Marlow then onto Cookham, then up Windsor Hill to Woburn Common and then back to Denham.
