Riders can enter on the day for this Sunday’s Ride to the Horns Sportive, which offers cyclists a choice of 50-mile and 97-mile routes.
The fourth edition of the ride starts and finishes on the village green in Mentmore, near Leighton Buzzard, and takes in some of the roads used in the Tour of Britain and Archer Grand Prix.
Following on from rider feedback from last year’s event, the event organisers, Wheels in Wheels, have made a small number of changes to the long course to avoid some of the busier main roads towards the end.
Online entry is closed but riders can sign-up on the day. Each course will be fully signposted, have well stocked feed stops and mechanical assistance on route as well as at the start/finish.
Families are also catered for with a seven-mile ride on quiet roads suitable for all abilities. The entry fee to the family ride is a donation to the event’s nominated charities.
