LCS/RCUK/SheCycles production guru Denise was the
fastest woman, even after pulling her foot out of the pedal. |
The Rollpaluza racing rollers were much used over the Grand Depart weekend, featuring
at the People’s Festival in Hyde Park and at the Rapha/ LondonCycleSport/Shecycles/RCUK
BBQ on Saturday evening.
BBQ
Brimming with the excitement of the Tour de France prologue, a huge peloton of riders
set off from central London on their own "mountain stage" over the
lumps and bumps of North London. The finish line was at the Pub on the Park
in Hackney where a delicious BBQ, a few pints and some leg-loosening roller-racing
awaited.
A great time was had by all and ."Jos da Boss" won V.I.P. tickets
to the hospitality mid-stage area of the Tour de France for the very next day
courtesy of RoadCyclingUK.com, Skoda and Londoncyclesport.

Over 300 people tried the Rollpaluza rollers on Saturday and Sunday.
62 year old Olympian Geoff Cooke recorded the fastest time, whilst Mike Ramsden,
news presenter from BBC London, couldn’t resist giving the rollers a go. After
rolling up the trouser legs on his Saville Row suit he set a pretty respectable
time of 22.23 seconds (50.61mph).
