Pre-race favourite Nick Craig lived up to his billing to win Sunday’s 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross in the Yorkshire Dales.
Multiple national mountain bike champion Craig (Scott UK) won over the summits of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent for the third time having time having previously triumphed in 1991 and 2009.
Craig clocked 3:08.47 hours over the 38-mile course, with Neal Crampton (Crosstrax) second in 3:12.00. Paul Oldham (Hope Factory Racing) was a further 53 seconds back in third.
Meanwhile, Louise Robinson (Stourbridge CC) won the women’s race in 3:44.49, while Thomas Armstrong (Wheelbase.co.uk Cannondale) was crowned junior 3 Peaks champion in 3:36.53.
