“Er, George, can I borrow your multi-tool please?” It’s a common question cast towards my desk at Factory Media.
Cyclists are out in force in this office, not least because Factory publishes both RoadCyclingUK and our long-standing sister-site Bikemagic, but also a host of other two-wheeled titles.
So when a multi-tool is borrowed, sometimes it doesn’t come back, instead left on a desk, by the printer, or passed onto someone else who needs to tweak their saddle height or tighten a bolt.
This One23 MT4 tool has provided the answer. It’s a small keyring which has all the essentials for quick adjustments, although for some reason the packaging lists the tool as having 4, 5, 6 and 8mm allen keys when, in fact, there are just 4, 5 and 6mm, plus a cross head screwdriver. I’ve attached it to my keys so it’s always at hand in case a better-equipped multi-tool goes missing.
It’s also useful when making minor adjustments on the road. Normally when riding to work I keep a multi-tool in my saddlebag and my keys in my jersey pocket, so they’re easy to grab when I arrive at the office door, with the tool also now easily accessible when, say, at traffic lights.
So it’s solved a problem for me, plus the build quality and price (RRP £4.99) are good too. Find your local One23 dealer via www.todayscyclist.co.uk
