Stefano Garzelli (Acqua & Sapone), winner of the Giro in 2000, won his second stage of the 2007 Giro with a brave solo attack. 50km from the finish line is the moment Garzelli chose to attack, managing to hold off five chasing riders.
No change at the top though, with Danilo Di Luca remaining in the Maglia Rosa.
Wednesday’s stage sees the riders tackling the Monte Zoncolan. Stayed tuned to letourguide.com for the latest results.
