James Dobbin in action
|
James Dobbin (Arctic Shorter Rochford Racing Team) recorded his second successive
win in the National Hill Climb Championships at Cheddar Gorge on October 28 in a time
of 6 min 51sec.
In damp and blustery conditions, his winning margin of 6 seconds proved
decisive, relegating David Clarke (Blue Sky Cycles) to the silver medal position. Matt Clinton
(mikevaughaun.co.uk) was a further 11 seconds away for the bronze medal.
James, who lives nearby in Bath and who has spent many hours training on the hill , commented
" I was really worried about David Clarke. We have had a tussle on more
than one occasion in this year’s hill climb season. I feel really pleased
to win, considering I have missed most of the road season due to injury"
