The Shred Classic returns on 27th May 2011!

Can there be a finer backdrop to a circuit race than Plymouth’s historic Hoe? Building on the success of 2010, this year’s event promises an evening with something for everyone, from local schoolchildren to top class amateur road racers.

The one mile circuit will be open for local schools racing from late afternoon and will give local people the chance to ride the traffic-free loop while gazing out over Plymouth Sound and engaging in some ship-spotting.

Then, at 18:00, the racing begins. The race is open to 2nd, 3rd and 4th category licence holders for the men and all categories for the women. As last year, there is a bumper prize bag courtesy of a host of local sponsors, on-site changing facilities, toilets and refreshments, professional commentary,  a prize ceremony and post-race analysis opportunity afterwards with a cold beer and buffet.

All this for a mere £20 entry fee. Non BC licence holders will need to pay for a day licence.
