Race winner Daniel Patten – rode his luck to win
|
Toks Adesanya (Addiscombe CC) made a lively contribution to stirring up the
race before Rob Jeffroy (London Dynamo) put in a great effort to solo to the
flag. It was not to be as the race had him back after a lap.
Next to go was Marek Slwicki (Addiscombe CC) followed by a two up featuring
Daniel Patten (PM) and a VC Muedon rider. Once more they were caught and thereon
the pace fell and the race looked likely to stay as one.
On the final lap Patten jumped clear gaining a workable lead. Later Patten
was able to get through when a horse box delayed the pack by a few second’s
and he rode to the line to win.
Close on his heels was the pack with Simon Whiten (RoadCyclingUK.com) sprinting
ahead of Tony Smedley (London Dynamo).
Simon Whiten wins the sprint for 2nd
