The 2013 edition of Tirreno-Adriatico is not short of big names.
Two former Tour de France winners, two Grand Tour runners-up, the defending champion, and a certain former world road race champion from the Isle of Man were among those summoned early to the rider’s village in San Vincenzo by the promoters.
Joaquim Rodriguez arrived with Fabian Cancellara, Chris Froome showed off his new Rapha kit, while Mark Cavendish’s appearance, in glasses and puffer jacket, provided a Clark Kent-style contrast with his alter ego, the Manx Missile.
