Tour de France 2012 stage seven preview video: Chris Froome

Chris Froome is one of Team Sky’s key weapons for the 2012 Tour de France.

The Kenyan-born Brit finished second overall in the Vuelta a Espana, ahead of team leader, Bradley Wiggins.

Froome is committed to supporting Wiggins in this year’s Tour, and here gives his insights into today’s stage seven, a 199km mountainous stage from Tomblaine to La Planche de Belles Filles, in an interview with Eurosport.

“The last climb is only 6km. If there’s time to be made, it’s only going to be small margins. It’s going to be hard for people to attack over the pace there is already. We’re going to be riding around Bradley, supporting him,” says Froome.
