Tour de France stage ten: photo gallery

The tenth stage of the 2012 Tour de France saw two of the race’s favourite sons deliver dogged performances for podium places.

Thomas Voeckler (Europcar) produced a trademark performance, breaking away early and outlasting his rivals to secure the win seemingly on sheer determination.

RadioShack-Nissan-Trek’s Jens Voight was doubtless telling his legs to “shut up” as he time trialed from the front of the peloton to join and sail straight past Voeckler’s leading group, sparking a frantic chase in the closing kilometres.

Here are the key images of the day from official UCI WorldTour photographer, Stefano Sirotti.
