The Tour of Britain has released a highlights DVD of this year’s race in time for Christmas.
The 2010 Tour was widely acclaimed as the best – and toughest – yet, with HTC-Columbia’s Michael Albasini triumphing after eighth stages of drama.
As well as 90 minutes of action from this year’s Tour, the DVD also contains bonus material plus an additional 50-minute disc of highlights from the 2009 Tour of Britain, dominated by Edvald Boasson Hagen.
“Every year we get people asking whether there would be a Tour of Britain highlights DVD available, but the number of those requests were particularly high in the build up to this year’s Tour, showing the popularity of the race,” said commercial manager Alastair Grant.
“Following the tremendous success of this year’s Tour, we are very pleased to be able to offer our fans the chance to purchase highlights of the race, which I’m sure will live long in the memory of all the spectators who came to the roadside and supported the Tour.”
The 2011 Tour will take place from September 11 to September 18, beginning in Scotland and finishing in London.
Full details of the route and the locations of individual stages will be announced at the national launch in the Spring.
