Raleigh, one of the UK’s best known bicycle manufacturers, has cemented their commitment to youth development in sport by confirming their sponsorship of the Revolution Future Stars.

Revolution is the most successful track cycling event in the UK, held throughout winter at the Manchester Velodrome it has become a mainstay of the British track season and has provided a fantastic arena for both elite and young riders to hone their skills. The Future Stars competition has always provided some of the very best racing at the events and was the training ground for Andy Tennant who after two seasons of riding Future Stars became a Junior World Champion. Tennant will this year graduate to the elite racing along with last season’s Future Stars winner Steven Burke and third placed Adam Blythe. This leaves the door open for the new emerging talent to make their mark and gain valuable experience in front of the 3000+ Revolution audience.

Raleigh’s involvement has ensured that the Future Stars will continue to grow with competitions now in place for both the girls and boys, “We are committed to youth development in cycling,” commented Raleigh’s Corporate Development Executive Paul Chapman. “Revolution provides an excellent opportunity for us to extend this work and fits perfectly with our existing strategies for developing women’s and youth cycling.”
