Mark Beaumont cycled 18,297 miles around the world in 194 days and 17 hours, leaving Paris on Friday 15th February and returning on 5th August 2007, in the process claiming the Guinness World Record for the feat.

A documentary about his trip is currently showing on BBC (with repeats available on iPlayer), and he’s now starring in the latest Orange television commercial.
