This summer, thousands of cyclists will hit the streets of the capital to raise money for Leukaemia Research. The 12th London Bikeathon is a fantastic day out for everyone involved and takes place on Sunday 13th July.
Last year’s event was our most successful yet with 5,500 cyclists raising over half a million pounds. This year we are looking to make the London Bikeathon even bigger and this can only be achieved with around 300 volunteers helping on the day.
There are a range of roles for anyone willing to volunteer on the day including helping at our three main sites, handing out refreshments and medals as well as on route support and marshalling. All our volunteers provide invaluable support and without their help the London Bikeathon simply would not happen.
We provide a full briefing for all our volunteers as well as looking after them on the day. To show our appreciation we have an Awards Evening in October which recognises the top fundraisers and everyone who made the day a success. Everyone who helped on the day is invited to attend the evening hosted by Gary Lineker.
