Italian cycle clothing manufacturers Santini have teamed up with the National Trust and Votwo Events to hold two sportives in July 2011.
On July 3 the Santini Sportive Series visits the Kingston Lacy National Trust Estate in Dorset, taking in the quiet country roads of the Isle of Purbeck, part of the Jurassic Coast – and the hills that come with it.
And on July 31, replacing the Specialized Silverstone Sportive, the tried-and-tested grounds of Castle Combe Race Circuit in Wiltshire play host to Santini’s second event. Competitors will ride one lap of the race circuit before heading into undulating lanes of Bath.
Both events will have 100-mile, 50-mile and 25-mile routes on offer, costing £30, £26 and £22 respectively.
