The Great Britain cycling team made a superb start to the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Melbourne.
The first day of competition at the Hisense Arena brought a gold medal and world record for the men’s team pursuit squad and a gold medal for Ben Swift in the Scratch race.
