The successful tenor of Great Britain’s world championship campaign extended to a fourth day with a gold medal for Laura Trott in the women’s omnium.
Ben Swift, who on Thursday became the third Manx cyclist to pull on the rainbow stripes of world champion with victory in the scratch race, added a silver in the points race to his Melbourne tally.
Team GB’s sprint kings, Olymic champion, Sir Chris Hoy, and world champion, Jason Kenny, were drawn against each other in the semi-finals of the men’s sprint, with Kenny recording a comfortable 2-0 victory.
And Geraint Thomas, who started the gold rush on Thursday with his team pursuit colleagues, finished fifth today in the individual pursuit.
