Another new brand is set to arrive in the UK after Velocite Bikes announced it is bringing its five-bike range to these shores.
Velocite’s range covers four road bikes – three carbon fibre and one aluminium – and one mountain bike hardtail. Each bike is available as a frame only, or in one of three full-bike builds.
The Helios is Velocite’s top-of-the-range frameset (frame, fork, headset, custom seat post, seat clamp retails at €2,350), with a super-aero profile, BB30, asymmetric head tube and internal cable routing.
The top-end 1.0 build pictured left is kitted out in full Sram Red, with 3T Rotundo Team handlebars, 3T Arx Team stem, Prologo Scratch-Pro saddle and a choice of wheels. All that will set you back €5,100.
Up next is the Magnus (frameset €1,960), while the Geos (frameset €1,350) completes the carbon fibre road range.
That leaves the Selene (frameset €590); a triple-butted alloy frame, weighing 1,200-1,450g.
According to Velocite, the frame is the only one in the world to be 100 per cent shot peened after it is welded. The shot peening process producing a compressive residual stress layer to ensure longevity which allows Velocite to offer a lifetime warranty.
And if you want to trade Tarmac for trails, the Flux is Velocite’s carbon mountain bike offering. Velocite also manufactures a range of components, saddles, road wheels and clothing.
