Wiggins takes plaudits after smashing UCI Hour Record in London

Phenomenal. Incredible. Inspiring. Sir Bradley Wiggins’ reaffirmed his place in British cycling legend by smashing the UCI Hour Record to add another success to a career already packed with triumphs.

Storming to a new record mark of 54.526km at London’s Lee Valley VeloPark, scene of some of the 2012 Olympic Games’ most iconic moments, Wiggins’ efforts earned him widespread plaudits from across the cycling spectrum, not least from the British riders he continues to inspire.
